Our Mission at Bumbee's

A nursery that blends the need for biologically diverse native species with other ornamental favorites.

Bumbee’s is an online garden center that delivers beauty, quality, and convenience to gardeners across Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions and beyond. The online garden center division is a branch of Country Gardens Nursery (a 3rd generation family owned and operated nursery) located in Eastport, NY. We understand the balance and importance of integrating beauty and function in our outdoor environments because we are a nursery of plant geeks, nursery professionals, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Country Gardens Nursery was founded in 1947 by S. Robert (Bob) Gettinger. Bob Gettinger’s 6 grandchildren lovingly referred to their grandfather as “Bombie.“

Shipping Delay Notice

We truly hate to pause things, but with the extreme heat and the holiday weekend, we’ve had to suspend all shipping until Monday, July 7th.
Right now, it’s just too hot for the plants to survive more than 48 hours in a shipping box, and we’d never want to send them out in conditions that could harm them.

We’re really sorry for the delay and any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your patience and for caring as much about these plants as we do.
